Dress Code
- The dress code at Elements Golf Club is smart casual.
- Please ensure that your image is neat and presentable at all times.
- Extremes of casual wear are inappropriate and unacceptable.
- No beach wear
- T-shirts, baggies, swim suits and slip-slops are unacceptable.
- In the clubhouse, smart casual or golf regulation
- On the course, recognised golf attire.
Gentlemen
- Recognised golf shoes (soft spikes only)
- Tailored long trousers, slacks or tailored golf shorts worn with calf length socks
- Short sport socks (preferably white) may only be worn with Bermuda shorts
- All other shorts must have a front zip and pockets
- Recognised golf shirts with collars
Ladies
- Recognised golf shoes (soft spikes only)
- Bermuda shorts, tailored skirts or golf slacks with recognised golf shirts with collars.
Golf Course Rules
Clubhouse
- Changing of golf clothing or partaking in drinks and snacks in the car park is strictly forbidden.
- When taking mobile telephone calls, please consider others, be discreet, and preferably move outdoors.
- In terms of the Liquor Law, persons under 18 years of age are not permitted to approach the bar.
- All other shorts must have a front zip and pockets
- Recognised golf shirts with collars
On the Course
- Players are urged to report to the tee 10 minutes before their tee-off time. So not to disrupt the field, late arrivals will forfeit their game or, time permitting, be moved to the back of the field.
- Players under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult, unless by special arrangement with management.
- Members may use their own drive carts after payment of an annual trail fee of R240 to the Club Manager.
- Soft spikes only.
- Players are asked to assist by repairing pitch marks, replacing divots and raking bunkers after use. Sand bags are available.
- Players are asked to give way if they are holding up the match behind.
- No mobile phones are allowed on the course.
- No alcohol or glasses are permitted to be taken out onto the course.
- Maximum of four players at a time.
- Golf carts may not be driven on the greens or tees.
- Maximum of two persons on a cart at a time.
- Replace the flag stick in the hole before you leave the green.
- No littering on the course.
- Out of bounds
White post and rail fencing, resident's property OR where demarcated with white stakes.
- Water hazards
Yellow stakes or lines.
- Lateral water hazards
Red stakes and lines.
- Immovable obstructions
Cart paths, benches, roads and drinking fountains are immovable obstructions.
- Sprinkler heads
A player is entitled to relief from sprinkler heads, not closer to the hole.
- GUR
As defined in the Rules of Golf and any area ringed in white.
- Damage to young trees and shrubs
A ball lying within the bowl of a young tree or a ball coming to rest where an impeding swing or stance is required, relief without penalty MUST be taken.
- Distance markers
All distance markers are measured in meters from the back of the tee to the middle of green.
- Flower beds
One free drop from all flower beds within the golf course.
- Rating
SAGA Course Rating.
- Placing
30cm on fairways.
- The golf course is out of bounds to anyone other than golfers and anyone entering the golf course does so at their own risk.
- When the siren is rung for a long period, it means that there is lightning and all golfers are instructed to leave the golf course. Two short sirens mean that golfers may continue with their game.
- Course management may from time to time change local rules when required.

Members should ensure that vehicles are securely locked and that valuables are kept out of sight. The club cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
Articles of value should not be left in the Locker Rooms as the Club cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage.
